Jiang Zhihong, a 44-year-old man who has been suffering muscular dystrophy disease for two and half decades, could have continued to stay impoverished on wheels with his aged parents as they have no income whatsoever expect for government allowance.

But he has made his life different by becoming a rental housing agent since 2013.

Unlike other agents, the middle-aged man charges much less, about 100 to 200 yuan, in assisting migrant workers to find a rental house in his hometown Chongqing municipality. The normal agency fee is about a month's rent.

Be it rain or shine, he will never cancel or delay his appointment with clients, which is earning him more popularity in the area. He is now able to earn more than 2,000 yuan ($322) a month, and will donate a certain amount of money to help other disabled people every year.

"I don't know how long my life will last. But I will make every day count to support myself, my family and other people in need," Zhang said.
