Key tunnel finished at power station

Jiangshan pumped storage power station — a key energy project in Zhejiang province that aims to optimize its energy structure — achieved a recent construction milestone as the No 3 tunnel of the access road to the station was successfully completed. State-owned China Railway 23rd Bureau Group said the project is among the toughest in support of the power station. The station will undertake grid peak regulation, optimize the regional energy structure and secure energy supplies upon completion.

Yuan weakens to 6.715 against greenback

The central parity rate of the Chinese currency renminbi, or the yuan, weakened 4 pips to 6.715 against the US dollar on Tuesday, said the China Foreign Exchange Trade System. In China's spot foreign exchange market, the yuan is allowed to rise or fall by 2 percent from the central parity rate each trading day.
