An executive from Chinese energy storage manufacturer HiTHIUM has noted that the global expansion of Chinese enterprises is not only about extending geographic reach, but also about being dedicated to building long-term, sustainable value with regional partners.

Speaking in Melbourne, Australia, HiTHIUM Hero Energy General Manager Ratel You said, "For us, global expansion is about more than geographic reach. We are dedicated to building long-term, sustainable value with our regional partners."

At All Energy Australia 2026, HiTHIUM presented its ARKVOLT and HeroEE home battery brands, part of an effort to apply its battery cell and system engineering expertise to household energy use.

Ratel You said, "As the global home energy transition deepens, the residential storage market is evolving to meet increasingly diverse and sophisticated customer needs. Leveraging HiTHIUM's deep expertise in cell R&D and smart manufacturing, we integrate inherent safety at the cell level into our system designs to deliver reliable, market-specific solutions for Australia."

According to the Clean Energy Council, Australia installed 276,011 home batteries in the first half of 2026, up 52 percent year-on-year. Rooftop solar installations added 1.89 GW during the period. The council linked the surge to a federal household battery incentive program.

The expanding market creates a different set of requirements for battery manufacturers. Grid-scale installations are generally developed as large engineering projects, while home batteries must fit a wide range of buildings, inverters and installation arrangements. Beyond cell performance, capacity planning, maintenance and local service become part of the product offering.

HiTHIUM said cumulative shipments exceeded 200 GWh by Oct 2026, adding that its Chongqing plant in China has received World Economic Forum Global Lighthouse Network recognition. Those manufacturing credentials underpin the home storage move, although residential sales also require product compatibility and local support.

As a new energy technology company focused on energy storage, HiTHIUM continues to extend its expertise in specialized energy storage cell R&D and system engineering to residential applications.

In May 2024, the company established a residential energy storage business unit with a focus on safety, efficiency and intelligent energy use. It is taking an integrated approach to product design, system integration, channel development and service support, while building a dedicated product and brand portfolio for the global home energy market.

HiTHIUM has adopted two distinct brand positions. ARKVOLT, launched in Germany in June, is described by the company as a global expert in residential energy management. Its strategy links storage expertise with intelligent management and longer-term energy ecosystem development, under the themes of Expertise, Intelligence and Ecosystem.

HeroEE is positioned as a global expert in residential energy storage solutions. Its stated values — focus, expertise and commitment — relate to battery technology, system solutions and service for different household markets. The two brands have broader remits than the high- and low-voltage battery models on display.

At the Melbourne exhibition, the ARKVOLT F8S illustrated one approach. The modular high-voltage system uses DC-BOOST technology to manage battery modules independently. Capacity can be configured from 8 to 32 kWh, while new and existing modules can be combined to support expansion in stages. The company rates its cycle life at no fewer than 11,000 cycles under specified test conditions.

The HeroEE 16 takes a low-voltage approach, providing 16 kWh in one lithium iron phosphate battery unit. It supports parallel expansion and individual module maintenance and can be integrated with compatible low-voltage inverters. The unit is rated for up to 11,000 cycles. Both products can store rooftop solar electricity for later use when paired with appropriate equipment.

In Australia, HiTHIUM has utility-scale battery supply roles covering 640 MWh for Lightsource bp's Woolooga project in Queensland and 500 MWh for FRV's Gnarwarre project in Victoria, which is under construction. HiTHIUM is seeking closer ties with residential installers and distributors.

Moving forward, anchored by its foundational strength in battery cell innovation and smart manufacturing, HiTHIUM will expand its global footprint through the tailored value propositions of ARKVOLT and HeroEE. The company remains committed to deepening local market integration, enhancing service capabilities, and creating long-term value for residential users worldwide as part of the broader transition toward sustainable, decentralized energy.
