Chinese mainland shares close mixed

Chinese stocks closed mixed on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.1 percent to 3,800.86 points. The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.25 percent lower at 12,353.70 points.

Yuan strengthens against greenback

The central parity rate of the yuan strengthened 15 pips to 6.7298 against the US dollar on Tuesday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System.
