Bank of China launches multilingual portal
Bank of China launched its multilingual portal on Sept 20, adding English, French, Spanish, Russian and Arabic to its Chinese version. The portal now covers all six official United Nations languages, providing global users with easier access to high-quality online financial information and services. This marks a key step in BOC's ongoing drive to strengthen its global service capabilities.
As the most globalized Chinese-funded bank, BOC, supported by its service network in 64 overseas countries and regions, has long been committed to building a solid financial bridge for cross-border economic, trade and cultural exchanges. The launch of the new multilingual portal is both an embodiment of BOC's comprehensive financial service strengths featuring "single-point access, global response", and an important initiative to deepen its digital transformation and enhance its international service capabilities.
The new portal redefines its digital service ecosystem with a user-centered approach, integrating financial services, information dissemination and brand presence. It features five core sections — Individuals, Enterprises, What's New, This is BOC and Investor Relations — offering tailored services to meet the needs of different visitor groups. Covering major global economic hubs, and the Belt and Road partner countries and regions, the site delivers content in six UN official languages. Its color schemes, layouts, icons and editorial content have been carefully adapted to the cultural contexts and reading habits of each language group, ensuring barrier-free communication, seamless services and culturally attuned experiences, and delivering accurate, high-quality financial services and information to global customers.
The portal also incorporates practical tools such as Search, Online Banking, BOC Exchange Rate, Announcements and Bulletin, helping users quickly locate the services they need. The responsive design ensures a seamless, smooth and efficient digital financial experience across both PC and mobile devices for global users.
In addition, the portal features dedicated sections including Strategic Financial Engines, International Use of RMB, and Our Brand, which systematically present BOC's practical initiatives and phased achievements in serving national strategies, promoting high-quality economic and social development, aiding high-standard opening-up, and promoting cultural inheritance and innovation. These sections also highlight BOC's sense of social responsibility and commitment to its mission as a major State-owned financial institution.
Going forward, BOC will remain focused on its core mission of serving the real economy. Driven by digital transformation and supported by the new multilingual portal, BOC will continue to consolidate and enhance its global service capabilities and make greater contributions to accelerating the fostering of a new development paradigm and building China into a greater financial power.
