A China-Africa costume culture and art exhibition opened on Thursday at the National Museums of Kenya in Nairobi, featuring fashion shows highlighting the traditional Chinese horse-face skirt, known as mamianqun, along with other Chinese-style attire and garments featuring distinctive African fabrics and patterns.

Zhang Zhizhong, chargé d'affaires of the Chinese embassy in Kenya, said the exhibition and fashion shows provide a platform for cultural exchange and people-to-people ties between China and Africa.
