Villagers from Guoba village prepare to board vehicles for their return home at a temporary shelter in Gyirong town in the Xizang autonomous region on Monday. They were among 499 residents evacuated from five villages after a mudslide struck the Gyirong border port on Aug 26. The barrier lake that formed upstream has since drained, allowing authorities to organize the return of displaced residents.
