China's foreign trade maintains rapid growth

China's foreign trade grew by 17.6 percent on a yearly basis to 34.78 trillion yuan ($5.18 trillion) in the first eight months of 2026, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs on Tuesday.
The country's exports rose 14.6 percent year-on-year to 20.17 trillion yuan, while its imports jumped 22 percent on a yearly basis to 14.61 trillion yuan.
China's foreign trade totaled 4.65 trillion yuan in August, up 19.8 percent year-on-year.
