Very large crude carrier delivered

A China-built very large crude carrier (VLCC) was delivered in Dalian, Liaoning province, on Tuesday. The vessel features advanced energy-saving and environmentally friendly technologies developed by China's shipbuilding industry. It measures about 333 meters in length, 60 meters in breadth and 30 meters in depth, with a deck area of more than 18,000 square meters.

Yuan strengthens against greenback

The central parity rate of the yuan strengthened 51 pips to 6.7854 against the US dollar on Wednesday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System.
