Chongqing power inspections guard 'cool economy'
In the scenic Nanhua Mountain region of Chongqing's Liangping district, a new round of power safety inspections has been conducted by the State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company to support booming local tourism during the peak summer season.
The inspections aim to ensure the safe operation of several camping sites scattered in Liangping's Panlong and Tiemen townships, which have seen increased power loads because of ongoing heat waves and the summer holiday influx of visitors.
Among the sites, the 956 high-altitude camping site at Gaiyingpo, Panlong, which was launched this year, stands out for its scale and popularity. Facilities such as camp lighting, dining cold chains and showers have been operating at full capacity during summer weekends.
