Adora Cruises said it aims to bring the vessel closer to Greater Bay Area residents because it sees the region as a key growth market. The company plans to expand its multiple home port operations in the area.
The ship measures 323.6 meters in length, weighs 136,200 tons and has 2,125 cabins. It combines Chinese and foreign cultural elements across dining, entertainment and family activities.
A second Chinese-made large cruise ship, the Adora Flora City, is scheduled for delivery in November, with its maiden voyage from Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Homeport.
