Advertising industry revenue up in H1
China's advertising industry generated more than 1 trillion yuan ($148.2 billion) in revenue in the first half, the country's top market regulator said. Advertising business revenue of leading industry players totaled 1.04 trillion yuan during the January-June period, an increase of 11.3 percent year-on-year, indicating strong growth momentum in the industry, according to the State Administration for Market Regulation.
Yuan weakens against greenback
The central parity rate of the Chinese currency renminbi, or the yuan, weakened 16 pips to 6.79 against the US dollar on Tuesday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System.
