Anti-dumping move on pecan imports imposed
China will impose provisional anti-dumping measures — effective on Tuesday — in the form of security deposits, on pecan imports originating in Mexico and the United States, the Ministry of Commerce said on Monday. It said its investigation, launched on Sept 25, 2025, had preliminarily found the imports were being dumped in the Chinese market and had caused material injury to the domestic pecan industry.
Yuan strengthens against greenback
The central parity rate of the Chinese currency renminbi, or the yuan, strengthened 20 pips to 6.7884 against the US dollar on Monday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System. In China's spot foreign exchange market, the yuan is allowed to rise or fall by 2 percent from the central parity rate each trading day.
