China will impose provisional anti-dumping measures, in the form of security deposits, on pecan imports originating in Mexico and the United States, the Ministry of Commerce said on Monday.

The ministry said in an announcement that its investigation, launched on Sept 25, 2025, had preliminarily found that the imports were being dumped in the Chinese market and had caused material injury to China's domestic pecan industry.

Effective Tuesday, importers of the products under investigation will be required to provide security deposits to Chinese customs at the rates specified for individual companies in the preliminary determination.
