People gather as rescue workers attempt to reach miners trapped in a coal mine on the outskirts of Quetta, the capital of the Baluchistan Province, in southwest Pakistan, on Thursday. At least 34 workers were killed, the provincial disaster agency said on Friday, as rescuers searched for more missing miners. The explosion was suspected to be caused by methane gas.
