Kremlin slams attacks on key Caspian pipeline

The Kremlin on Saturday described suspected Ukrainian attacks on facilities linked to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium as "energy terrorism" aimed at Kazakhstan, Russia and the United States. Kazakhstan said it had reduced oil production after suspected Ukrainian drone attacks forced the Caspian Pipeline Consortium-operated export terminal on the Black Sea to close. The suspension of loadings from the pipeline, which exports almost 2 percent of global oil, adds to concerns over global oil supplies. The export terminal remains closed following the attacks.

1 dead, 29 hurt as van rams crowd in Berlin

A van slammed into people gathered for Berlin's Pride festival on Saturday night, killing one person and injuring at least 29 others, and prompting police to call off the celebrations. Germany's interior minister said the attack is believed to have been an act of Islamic extremist terror. Police said the suspect remains at large, warned the public not to approach him as he may be armed and dangerous, and appealed for witnesses to provide videos or photos from the scene.
