AI is not a single race

In an interview with China Daily's Global Lens, Jeffrey W. Legro, professor at the University of Richmond in the United States, said the competition in artificial intelligence is not only about which country's model is better, but also about resources and application. Crossing the finish line first does not guarantee lasting dominance. Cooperation is what keeps nations at the technological frontier.

Legro made such remarks during an academic meeting organized by the University of International Relations early this month.
