Top legislator, political adviser meet with Czech parliament speaker

Zhao Leji, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, met with visiting Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic Tomio Okamura in Beijing on Thursday.

Zhao said that China highly appreciates that the new government and the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic pursue an active and pragmatic policy toward China, calling on both nations to enhance the positive momentum in bilateral ties.

Okamura said that the Czech Republic hopes to strengthen cooperation with China in tourism, trade and other sectors.

Also on Thursday, Wang Huning, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, China's top political advisory body, met with Okamura in Beijing.
