3 Chinese wounded in Ukrainian drone attacks

Ukrainian drone attacks targeting the Moscow region injured 10 people, including three Chinese citizens, regional governor Andrei Vorobyov said on Monday. The injured Chinese nationals, together with other casualties, are receiving medical treatment at local hospitals. The Chinese embassy in Russia is verifying the relevant details. The strikes unfolded from Sunday night through the early hours of Monday.

Putin holds talks with DPRK FM

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday held talks with visiting Foreign Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Choe Son-hui, the Kremlin said. "Putin spoke highly of bilateral ties between Russia and the DPRK," said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, adding that the Russian leader took the opportunity to once again express gratitude to the DPRK's leadership and people for their support during Russia's special military operation. "Putin conveyed his warmest greetings to DPRK leader Kim Jong-un," Peskov said. "In turn, the DPRK foreign minister thanked him for these warm remarks and noted that Kim Jong-un recently reaffirmed his commitment to comprehensively advancing the DPRK's relations with Russia."

Mass shooting leaves 10 injured in Arizona

Ten people, including the suspect, were injured in an overnight mass shooting on Sunday in Tucson, the US state of Arizona, authorities said. The shooting occurred around 2 am in a crowded area of downtown Tucson, the second-most populous city in Arizona, said officials with the Tucson Police Department. Police officers patrolling the area heard gunshots and immediately ran toward the sound of the gunfire, local media reported, citing police. When the police arrived at the scene, they saw a man running away.
