Some people in the Philippines have turned hyping up the so-called "South China Sea arbitration ruling" into a business, Ding Duo, director of the Center for International and Regional Studies, National Institute for South China Sea Studies, said in an interview with China Daily. He added that if the Philippines continues to insist on using the so-called "arbitration award" as a precondition for engaging with China on the South China Sea issue, it will only end up shooting itself in the foot.
