Beijing park traps up to 20,000 mosquitoes daily with smart devices

The year 2026 marks the launch of the Three-Year Action Plan for Mosquito Prevention and Control in Beijing (2026–2028). The initiative aims to establish a mosquito control framework featuring government leadership, inter-departmental coordination, territorial administration, and public mobilization.
By the end of 2028, Beijing aims for 80 percent of local villages, communities, parks, companies, or organizations with open spaces to participate in mosquito prevention efforts.
