Lotus flowers are now in full bloom across a vast wetland in Yueyang, Central China's Hunan province, enticing visitors to explore the sea of blossoms by boat.
The Junshan Wild Lotus World, located in the city's Junshan district, boasts what is said to be the largest contiguous wild lotus habitat in Asia. Covering approximately 400 hectares, this lotus wetland is home to more than 400 varieties of lotus. During the peak summer season, the sight of endless blossoms and the fragrance of lotus flowers fill the air.
A lotus-viewing festival is set to begin at the site in July, according to the scenic area administration.
