Bridging continents through knowledge and practice — A Cameroonian youth's journey exploring China's development
Having worked on the frontlines of China-Africa cooperation and witnessed firsthand livelihood projects such as the water supply and expressway infrastructure in Yaoundé, this young Cameroonian scholar has seen tangible results of cooperation that benefit local communities. He has also observed how China's mature development policies and governance experience have taken root and brought benefits to countless households. His earlier preconceptions, shaped by one-sided media narratives, have been thoroughly dismantled. Rural revitalization, the "Two Mountains Theory", and the inclusive, mutually beneficial Belt and Road Initiative have helped him understand the core of China's development philosophy which is people-centered, long-term oriented, balanced and rooted in win-win cooperation. In this episode of Shining Wisdom, hear him reflect on his journey of studying and working in China, and the insights he has gained along the way.
