Panda monitoring network rolled out in Sichuan

To date, the system has captured over 1,200 video clips or images of giant pandas, including footage of them feeding on bamboo shoots and leading cubs in the wild. It has also recorded activities of other wild animals, such as red pandas, tufted deer and Lady Amherst's pheasant.

"The system has notably boosted the efficiency of our monitoring work and provides more comprehensive and accurate data on wildlife activities in the region, helping formulate more scientific approaches to habitat restoration and ecological protection," Fu said.
