Li urges faster efforts to build bulk commodity resource allocation hub
Premier Li Qiang has called for proper regulation of reserves of bulk commodities and key materials, stronger industrial and supply chain resilience, and faster efforts to build a bulk commodity resource allocation hub, saying that such efforts are essential to providing reliable support for coordinating development and security.
Li made the remarks during an inspection trip to Zhoushan and Ningbo in Zhejiang province from Monday to Wednesday.
Nation to strengthen alignment of development strategies with Kazakhstan
China is ready to strengthen the alignment of development strategies with Kazakhstan and further advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, China's top legislator Zhao Leji said.
Zhao, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, made the remarks when meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana during his official goodwill visit to Kazakhstan from Monday to Wednesday.
Zhao called on the two sides to consolidate cooperation in investment, energy, minerals and connectivity, and foster new growth points in fields including energy, artificial intelligence and cross-border e-commerce.
Tokayev said the two economies are highly complementary, adding that Kazakhstan firmly abides by the one-China principle.
