China's green expertise powers Australia's renewable energy ambitions, industry chief says

China's leadership in green technology and renewable energy is playing a pivotal role in Australia's energy transition, a leading industry figure said.

David McElrea, CEO of the Smart Energy Council, said much of what is driving the global green and renewable energy revolution originates in China.

He said Chinese expertise and green materials are helping Australian businesses and households advance the energy transition, supporting Australia's goal of becoming a renewable energy superpower.
