Yuan weakens against greenback

The central parity rate of the yuan weakened 41 pips to 6.8635 against the US dollar on Wednesday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System. In China's spot foreign exchange market, the yuan is allowed to rise or fall by 2 percent from the central parity rate each trading day.

China cuts retail prices of gasoline, diesel

China reduced retail prices of gasoline and diesel on Wednesday. Gasoline prices were cut by 555 yuan ($80.91) per metric ton, and diesel prices by 530 yuan per ton, according to the National Development and Reform Commission.
