Will America invade Greenland?

The United States has already set its sights on its next target: Greenland. Donald Trump claims that America must act before Russia and China "take Greenland first". This is imperial logic in its purest form and a blunt lie. The real reason? Territory and resources.

Greenland is enormous. Taking it would literally make the US larger and more dominant in the Arctic. Beneath its ice lies something even more valuable: rare earths and strategic minerals, essential for weapon systems and advanced chips.

There is also a personal motive. Trump wants a legacy. And what legacy could be more dramatic than expanding American territory? "Bringing Greenland home" becomes the perfect stimulant for MAGA politics and for Trump's midterm ambitions.

So what are the consequences? The collapse of NATO? The bankruptcy of the international legal order? Trump has already made it clear: He doesn't need them. That is imperialism dressed in a modern suit.
