Tiffany & Co. unveils dazzling new flagship store in Beijing
Tiffany & Co. has inaugurated its new flagship store in Beijing's vibrant Taikoo Li Sanlitun district, showcasing the house's innovative design concept and commitment to pioneering artistry.
Designed by renowned Dutch architectural firm MVRDV, the store's façade is a captivating tribute to Tiffany & Co.'s iconic Elsa Peretti designs. Crafted from responsibly recycled and locally sourced glass fins, the façade blends geometric elegance with poetic movement, expressing a wave-like fluidity and a luminous display of blue hues as light dances across its surface. This seamless fusion of Tiffany & Co.'s legacy in glass-making with architectural ingenuity and illumination creates a contemporary and striking interpretation of the House's enduring identity. As night descends, the building transforms into a radiant Tiffany Blue lantern, casting a mesmerizing glow on the street corner and immersing passersby in Tiffany's enchanting world.
Beyond a traditional retail space, the new store provides a unique atmosphere where craftsmanship, art, and heritage converge. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by sparkling crystal chandeliers that interplay with a champagne gold leaf ceiling, filling the space with warmth and brilliance. Handcrafted walls with gilded accents provide a refined and luxurious backdrop for the House's most definitive collections, including HardWear by Tiffany, Lock by Tiffany, Knot by Tiffany, and T by Tiffany, as well as Tiffany® watches. At the foot of the staircase, "Pair," a compelling bronze sculpture by British artist Tony Cragg, guides visitors to the second floor.
