To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, which centers on family reunion and cultural appreciation, an evening gala was held Thursday at the Shunyi Grand Theatre in Beijing, offering local residents a high-quality cultural program.

The evening featured a diverse lineup of Chinese art forms, opening with a dynamic dance performance that set a warm, festive tone. The program highlighted both traditional and modern artistry, including a dazzling diabolo routine performed by a young acrobat and traditional storytelling delivered with wit and humor.

A standout performance that earned thunderous applause was a unique collaboration between musicians and martial artists, blending the sharp tones of the jinghu with intricate swordplay.

Throughout the evening, well-known vocalists performed beloved songs celebrating the Mid-Autumn moon and themes of home. Magic acts and vocal imitations added variety, keeping the atmosphere vibrant and engaging.

The event concluded with a rousing choral and dance performance, celebrating unity and perseverance as the audience joined in the singing, filling the theater with a strong sense of cultural pride.

Hundreds of local residents attended the show, which successfully blended artistic brilliance with cultural tradition. "The show was fantastic, especially the blend of music and martial arts," said Wang, a resident of Shunyi district. "It deepened the festive spirit and made us feel a strong sense of pride in our culture."
