Lesotho's textile industry faces massive closures amid US levies

Mokhethi Shelile, Lesotho minister of trade, industry, business development and tourism, described Lesotho as a "very minuscule economy". He said the trade deficit that exists between Lesotho and the US is a "natural trade deficit" that can happen when there are disparities between two economies. "It cannot be breached and certainly cannot be breached by imposing tariffs," Shelile said.
