Hotel bookings in Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Guizhou, Gansu, Guangxi, and Xinjiang all rose by more than 20 percent month-on-month. In addition, hotel bookings in Jilin, Heilongjiang and Liaoning in Northeast China also achieved a month-on-month growth in excess of 20 percent.

To avoid intense UV rays and heat, nighttime adventures have grown as options. Cultural venues like museums, science centers and aquariums that prolong their opening hours until night are popular among tourists.
