Li to attend world artificial intelligence conference, meeting on global AI governance
Premier Li Qiang will attend and address the opening ceremony of the 2025 World AI Conference and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance in Shanghai on Saturday.
According to the Foreign Ministry, China has invited high-level representatives from more than 40 countries and international organizations to attend the three-day event themed "Global Solidarity in the AI Era". The conference runs from Saturday to Monday.
Participants will have in-depth discussions on three major topics, namely deepening innovation cooperation and unleashing the intelligence dividend, promoting inclusive development and bridging the digital divide, and strengthening collaborative governance and ensuring artificial intelligence for good.
"We look forward to enhanced solidarity, joint pursuit for development and concerted actions to promote the sound and orderly development of AI and make sure it is a force for good, safety and fairness," Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a regular news briefing on Thursday.
