Poverty alleviation transforms Sichuan's cliff village

Bai Cilian, county head of Zhaojue, said that at the five large-scale centralized resettlement sites in the county seat, including the resettlement communities where residents from Xuanya village have moved, the local government has built five supporting industrial parks, providing 22,000 job positions.
Seven employment-assistance workshops have been set up, offering 773 job positions to address employment problems for housewives in the communities, according to Bai.
Gubi Jinniu, 32, a former resident of the village, found a job at an intangible cultural heritage workshop in her community three years ago. She earns about 4,000 yuan per month by making Yi embroidery.
Over a year ago, she started to do live-streaming for the workshop to sell her products, bringing in an additional monthly income of approximately 1,500 yuan.
