Street dance competition sets Beijing in motion

Their visits to neighborhoods, museums, and cultural landmarks across Beijing created a full-spectrum dialogue that extended from sportsmanship to cultural immersion.
"On the KOD stage, dancers from different countries don't need translators. They speak through movement and connect through emotion. This is the most direct—and most powerful—form of cultural exchange," said Kiddthemonster, a member of the judging panel of the championship.
The championship was hosted by Beijing Media Corporation Ltd and organized with the support of K.O.D. Culture Services (Beijing) Co Ltd. The event highlighted Beijing's dynamic urban culture while further cementing the city's reputation as a global stage for youth-driven creativity.
"This is a cultural celebration that truly engaged the entire city," said Jing Enji, president of Beijing Media Corporation Ltd. "In the past, street dance was often considered a niche subculture. Today, it has taken center stage in Beijing."
