Street dance competition sets Beijing in motion

Wowing the judges with some jaw-dropping moves, French performer Franqey won the adult group in popping, while Lil.C won the junior category. Gentle Seeker ended up winning in the new team discipline of choreography.
Founded in 2004, KOD has grown into one of the most prestigious street dancing tournaments in the world, alongside Britain's UK BBOY, France's Juste Debout, and Germany's Battle of the Year.
This year's championship also marked the return of the "K.O.D. Cup", a format featuring national teams, after a six-year hiatus. Team China won first place in locking, while Team Netherlands won the hip-hop title. South Korean team finished first in waacking, with Team France reigning supreme in popping.
Beyond the competition, international judges and performers engaged deeply with local communities through open dancing clinics, improvisational performances and interactive exchange.
