"History isn't gone — it lives with us," says Mark Aylwin Thomas, biographer of George Hogg, a British humanitarian who, during the late 1930s and early 1940s, rescued 60 Chinese orphans and dedicated himself to education and relief work in war-torn China. A memorial event in London on Saturday brought together his family and admirers.
