Xi's article on advancing high-standard opening-up published

An article by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, on unswervingly advancing high-standard opening-up is being published on Wednesday.

The article by Xi, who is also Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, has been published in this year's 14th issue of the Qiushi Journal, the flagship magazine of the CPC Central Committee.

The article, based on excerpts of Xi's important discourses made between December 2012 and April 2025, stresses the need to continue to expand high-standard opening-up, urging efforts to steadily advance institutional opening-up with respect to rules, regulations, management and standards.

China will implement a strategy to upgrade pilot free trade zones, encourage pioneering and integrated explorations, and develop them into new heights of reform and opening-up, the article says.
