On June 25, after the final commissioning data met all specifications, Linzhou's 110 kV Shenjiapo substation successfully energized its 50 MVA prefabricated mobile substation. From equipment arrival on June 15 to full operation took only ten days, more than 90 percent faster than a conventional substation build. The installation now supplies tailor-made power to Henan Xunchi Machinery Manufacturing's 50,000-ton-per-year auto-parts project while simultaneously relieving the region's surging demand from new-energy heavy-duty-truck charging stations.

The company's 50,000-ton auto-parts project is a cornerstone industrial project with a large, time-critical load. Since October 2024, Linzhou's total new-energy heavy-truck charging capacity has reached 146 MVA, of which 85 MVA—nearly 60 percent, is concentrated in Lingyang town, the core industrial zone. The combined pressure from industrial production and charging loads had already exceeded the capacity of Shenjiapo's existing 110 kV main transformer, necessitating an innovative solution.

Faced with this challenge, State Grid Anyang Power Supply Company intervened early in project review and, together with provincial and municipal counterparts plus the local government, established a three-tier coordination mechanism. The team secured and deployed a 50 MVA prefabricated mobile substation to reinforce Shenjiapo. Designed with six 10-kV outgoing circuits and a modular layout, the unit offers rapid installation and commissioning advantages.

On June 15, the mobile substation arrived on site. To expedite commissioning, State Grid Anyang Power Supply Company formed a dedicated task force, prepared a detailed construction plan, and scheduled tasks in reverse order. Specialists worked around the clock, rigorously controlling both quality and schedule. In just ten days, they completed equipment installation, system testing and energization, achieving a swift, seamless deployment.

With the substation now online, the company's 50,000-ton auto-parts line receives a stable supply, the Hongqi Canal Economic Development Zone's intelligent-manufacturing incubation park is fully powered, and six nearby heavy-truck charging stations—totaling 20 MVA of charging capacity—benefit from reliable backup. The result is a dual-load assurance system that supports both industrial production and new-energy charging, eliminating the auto-parts park's power bottleneck and injecting fresh momentum into regional new-energy upgrades.

The successful use of a mobile, prefabricated substation marks a shift in power-supply service from reactive response to proactive enablement. Going forward, State Grid Anyang Power Supply Company will replicate this model, leveraging grid innovation to deliver customized support for key industrial projects and foster a high-quality regional business environment.
