Yantai to host global wine tourism summit

The Global Wine Tourism Summit 2025 will be held in Yantai, East China's Shandong province, from July 2 to 5, marking the first time that the city, known as the birthplace of China's modern wine industry, has hosted a top-tier international summit in the wine industry.
The summit serves as a crucial opportunity for Yantai to advance the global integration of wine and tourism, heralding a new chapter in international expansion for the city's wine industry.
Organized by the Global Wine Tourism Organization, the summit will feature key components such as council meetings, themed forums, business negotiations and international exhibitions.
With over 300 attendees, including representatives from more than 20 countries of the GWTO, leaders of international organizations, renowned winery owners, international tour operators and prominent media from home and abroad, the conference boasts an unprecedented level of international participation.
Yantai, the only international grape and wine city in Asia, a global wine tourism destination, and the capital of Chinese brandy, has established a comprehensive wine tourism system that encompasses major wineries and cultural venues, hosting over 3 million visitors annually.
The hosting of the summit is expected to elevate Yantai's wine industry, lead to the creation of world-class brands, empower the sector's transformation and upgrading, and foster a global network for cooperation.
