Putting a spotlight on talented media artists

A Thousand Horizons is on show in The VH AWARD Archive Exhibition at the Hyundai Motorstudio Beijing in the 798 Art Zone till June 15.

The exhibition gathers the works of five Grand Prix recipients over the past five VH AWARDs and two Chinese finalists from the fifth edition. The award was initiated in 2016 to support media artists.

The exhibition offers a glimpse of how emerging media artists explore the complexities of contemporary society, triggering new perspectives on humans and machines, the past and speculative future, reality and virtuality, and individual and collective identities.

The finalists of this year's award, the sixth edition, will be announced in June at Basel, and their works will be displayed in the exhibition in Beijing.

The exhibition also shows Hyungkyu Kim's Hear the Wind, Across the Border, He Zike's Random Access, Lawrence Lek's Black Cloud, Subash Thebe Limbu's work,Ladhamba Tayem; Future Continuous, New York-based zzyw's Other Spring, and Je Baak's A Journey.
