Skiing festival attracts over 2,000 skiers to Changchun

The 23rd China Changchun Jingyuetan Vasaloppet International Skiing Festival kicked off at Jingyuetan National Scenic Area in Changchun, Jilin province on Saturday. [Photo by Tian Jiaxin/For chinadaily.com.cn]

Initiated in Sweden in 1922, the Vasaloppet ski festival was first held in Changchun in 2003.

After intense competition, Ma Qinghua from Changchun won the championship in the 25-kilometer women's race.
