Major railway bridge achieves linkage

Progress on the Chongqing-Kunming High-Speed Railway advanced significantly as a crucial railway bridge recently achieved full completion. China Railway 24th Bureau Group Corp, a unit of China Railway Construction Corp involved in the project, announced that construction workers successfully connected the continuous beams of a railway bridge in the mountainous Kunming, capital of Yunnan province. The HSR, an integral component of the national railway network, is instrumental in driving development in western regions, CR24G said.

Civil aviation sector reports growth in Nov

China's civil aviation sector saw expansion in November, with passenger trips and freight transport achieving double-digit growth year-on-year, said the Civil Aviation Administration of China on Thursday. Last month, total transport turnover, passenger trips, and cargo and mail transport volume in the country's civil aviation sector increased 20.5 percent, 15.2 percent and 16.6 percent, respectively, compared with the same period last year.
