Xinjiang: An integral part of Chinese civilization

Pan said there have been concerns that if Xinjiang is considered an integral part of the Chinese civilization, it might lose its cultural identity. Such concerns are unnecessary, because Chinese civilization in modern times always strives for harmonious coexistence, consistently seeking common ground while reserving differences, and continually pursuing peaceful and mutually beneficial outcomes.
