Xi congratulates Abinader on reelection as president of Dominican Republic

President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to Luis Abinader on his reelection as president of the Dominican Republic, calling for joint efforts to take bilateral relations to new heights and enable more cooperative outcomes to benefit the people of both countries.

In the message sent to Abinader on Wednesday, Xi noted that ties between the two nations have maintained a positive momentum, with both sides continuously deepening political mutual trust and fruitful practical cooperation.

He stressed that he attaches great importance to bilateral relations and appreciates Abinader's steadfast adherence to the one-China policy.

Abinader won his reelection bid in a landslide following general elections in the Caribbean nation on Sunday.

Han hails strong bonds between China and Cambodia

Vice-President Han Zheng underlined Beijing's readiness to keep enriching the Diamond Hexagon cooperation framework with Phnom Penh, during a meeting on Friday with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sok Chenda Sophea.

Han said that China and Cambodia are "good neighbors, good friends, and good partners", and emphasized the strong bonds shared between the two nations.

He reiterated China's commitment to deepening comprehensive strategic cooperation with Cambodia, while highlighting Beijing's readiness to align the Belt and Road Initiative with Cambodia's Pentagonal Strategy.

Sok Chenda Sophea reiterated Cambodia's commitment to upholding the long-standing friendship with China and reiterated the nation's firm adherence to the one-China principle.

He expressed Cambodia's eagerness to strengthen pragmatic cooperation in various fields, driving the bilateral relationship toward further progress.
