There are also at least three flights between the airport and five Asian destinations every day, such as Tokyo and Seoul, she said.

More international flights will be gradually resumed and opened from the Beijing Capital to various international destinations soon, including Havana, Edinburgh, Prague and Baghdad, Shi said.

Additionally, there are plans to add more flights from the Beijing Capital to international destinations such as Frankfurt, Vienna, Seoul and Sapporo.

Airline companies also plan to operate more international flights to boost the market recovery.

For example, Hainan Airlines has now resumed operating more than 40 international routes. In May, the company will resume flights between Chongqing and Seattle, Beijing and Edinburgh as well as Shenzhen and Vienna, according to Chen Jie from the company.
