Foreign reporters visit enterprises in Anhui
Members of international media began a three-day tour of new quality productive forces on Wednesday in Hefei, Anhui province.
The tour group, which included 30 China-based reporters from 20 foreign media outlets, was organized by the State Council Information Office.
Making strides in new quality production, featuring high-tech, high efficiency and high quality, is prominent on China's agenda this year.
The tour was designed to help foreign reporters better understand the concept through the exploration of practices in Anhui, which has emerged as one of the country's most promising provinces with innovation-driven development in recent years.
A media briefing, or group interview with officials from the provincial government, was held on Wednesday morning before the reporters' visits to the factories of some major enterprises, along with research and development centers.
The sites included locally headquartered enterprises such as Sungrow Power, Anhui Forklift, iFlytek, Gotion High-tech and the Hefei-based plants of such foreign companies as Continental AG and Volkswagen.
