To combat desertification, China has encircled Taklimakan Desert with a sand-blocking green belt! This green development is a crucial part of the Three North Shelter Forest Program (TNSFP), which has the ultimate goal of controlling desertification in China's northwest, north and western northeast regions. TNSFP began in 1978 and will end in 2050, spanning 73 years. Starting from 2023, China has launched a decisive battle across three regions which will be continuously implemented over the next decade.
