Traditional warrior dance takes center stage in London

A group of dancers performed China’s traditional folk dance — Puning Yingge dance — at London’s Burlington Arcade on Saturday to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Originating from the Chaoshan region of South China's Guangdong province, the dance merges opera, dance and martial arts. It is considered a symbol of promoting good, suppressing evil, and bringing peace.

Puning Yingge dance is a national intangible cultural heritage.
