Hapoel Tel Aviv signs former CBA player Will Cummings

JERUSALEM -- Israeli EuroCup club Hapoel Tel Aviv on Sunday announced the signing of point guard Will Cummings, who played last season in the Chinese Basketball Association.
The 31-year-old American joined the CBA's Zhejiang Lions in August 2022, where he averaged 10.8 points and 2.7 assists per game in 18 regular league games.
He also took part in six CBA playoff games, in which he averaged 7.5 points and 2.5 assists per game.
Between 2016 and 2022, Cummings had spells in Italy, Greece, Turkey, Germany, Russia and France, winning the EuroCup title in 2018 with the Turkish club Darussafaka.
Cummings was also the top scorer of the Greek League while playing for Aris Thessaloniki, and of Germany's Basketball Bundesliga while playing for Oldenburg.
He was also named MVP of the Bundesliga and the French LNB Pro A league, where he played for Metropolitans 92.
Cummings started the current season with the South East Melbourne Phoenix of Australia's National Basketball League (NBL), from whom he was released on December 8.
"Will's joining will allow us more flexibility and less dependence on specific players," said Hapoel's head coach Danny Franco. "We have a good team and I'm sure he will fit in quickly."
Hapoel Tel Aviv currently sits second in the ten-team Group A of the EuroCup with an 8-2 win-loss record.
